The idea is simple: a creative and relaxing space to learn hand building clay techniques and enjoy the process of making a ceramic work of art. 

I am a fully qualified teacher with a degree in Fine Art and Education.  I am also DBS checked.

I have always enjoyed working with clay and have been lucky enough to teach hand building techniques for the last 20 years. As a teacher, it is a delight to see the enjoyment and rewards that working with clay can offer.  

Learning simple hand building techniques builds a set of skills that can be used to create any form or functional object.

Slab work

All these skills can be combined to make beautiful objects that can be decorated using different techniques and colours.
